I read in the news today that a man who was over 90 years old has been forbidden to marry a seventeen year old. The guy had a dowry to give of of nearly 30 thousand bucks.
Now, my old man, (The Hubby!) is 27 years older than I am, and he had nothing. He never changes, either, he still has nothing, no dowry, no money, just himself.
Which is OK by me, but if I lived in Egypt, then I wouldn't have been allowed to marry him as they have a law against marriages where there is an age difference exceeding 25 years.
So, have to admit, although there are snags in th age difference, I am happy that I married the hubby that I did - he has his uses, hehehe.
